Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented AV Installation Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining audiovisual systems across various client sites. Your expertise will ensure seamless integration of audio, video, telecommunication, and control systems, delivering exceptional experiences for our clients. Duties
- Install AV equipment including displays, projectors, sound systems, and control units according to schematics and technical specifications
- Conduct cable management and wiring using hand tools to ensure clean, safe, and efficient setups
- Troubleshoot software issues related to AV systems and telecommunication equipment to resolve operational problems quickly
- Perform routine maintenance and system upgrades to keep installations functioning at peak performance
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals for accurate installation and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with field service teams to diagnose issues on-site and provide prompt resolutions
- Maintain detailed documentation of installations, repairs, and system configurations for future reference
Requirements
- Proven experience with electrical systems, low voltage wiring, and telecommunication infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation) principles and electrical experience in field settings
- Familiarity with computer hardware components and software troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to read schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals accurately
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and cabling techniques for precise installations
- Mechanical knowledge related to mounting hardware and structural supports for AV equipment
- Prior experience in field service roles involving AV or telecommunication systems is highly desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance and troubleshooting
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel locally for installation projects
