Automotive Diagnostic Technician / Smog Inspector / Vehicle Programmer

AUTO-IQ Services is seeking an experienced Automotive Diagnostic Technician to join our growing team. We specialize in advanced diagnostics, module programming, vehicle electronics, immobilizer systems, diesel diagnostics, and repair of complex drivability concerns.
Experienced diagnosticians without programming experience are encouraged to apply. We are willing to train the right candidate in advanced vehicle programming and coding.
Required Qualifications
- Strong automotive diagnostic experience
- Diesel diagnostic and repair experience
- Ability to accurately diagnose electrical, drivability, and network communication issues
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- California Smog Inspector License
- California Vehicle Safety Inspection License
- ASE Certifications are a plus
- Experience with scan tools, lab scopes, and modern diagnostic equipment
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair gasoline and diesel vehicles
- Perform advanced electrical and drivability diagnostics
- Diagnose CAN, LIN, and other vehicle network communication systems
- Conduct California Smog Inspections (if licensed)
- Perform Vehicle Safety Inspections (if licensed)
- Complete repair orders and documentation accurately
- Communicate findings and repair recommendations clearly
- Work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
