ROLE SUMMARY
The Signage Designer is responsible for developing accurate, creative, and production-ready signage designs and comprehensive design recommendation books for commercial and multi-location projects. This role supports Sales, Estimating, and Project Management by translating concepts into clear visual communication and executable design packages. The ideal candidate has strong technical design skills, understands signage construction and placement methodology, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design & Creative Development
- Create signage design concepts, layouts, and full design recommendation books for client presentations and approvals.
- Develop accurate visual renderings, mockups, and scaled drawings for interior and exterior signage.
- Ensure designs align with brand standards, site conditions, and project requirements.
- Provide creative input and design solutions that balance aesthetics, function, and constructability.
Technical & Production Support
- Prepare production-ready artwork and technical drawing packages for fabrication partners and field implementation.
- Understand signage construction methods, materials, and installation considerations.
- Assist with sign placement methodology based on site plans, elevations, and wayfinding logic.
- Coordinate with Project Management and Estimating to ensure design intent aligns with scope and budget.
Software & Tools
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and CorelDRAW required.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks preferred (strong plus).
- Ability to work with scaled drawings, vector artwork, and layered production files.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with Sales, Estimating, Project Management, and Operations teams.
- Participate in design reviews, project handoffs, and internal coordination meetings.
- Communicate clearly and professionally regarding revisions, timelines, and design intent.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Minimum 3+ years of signage design experience (commercial, architectural, or branded environments preferred).
- Strong understanding of sign construction, materials, and placement methodology.
- Advanced skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, and CorelDRAW.
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks is a plus.
- Ability to produce clean, accurate, and organized design packages.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
- High level of communication and willingness to ask questions when clarification is needed.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
