Position Description:
JD Frost Trucking Company has Immediate openings for Safety minded Class A CDL Truck Drivers! All applicants MUST have a minimum of 2 years CDL driving experience!!
SOLO Drivers (No team drivers No Passengers)
Route: Transporting US Mail from Monroe, LA to Shreveport LA
Shift: Day Route - Morning hours
Must pass Federal Level 2 Background
Freight: Touch LOAD & UNLOAD US Mail
Trailer Type: 53' Dry Van
2018 & Newer International Tractors. All trucks are equipped with forward & driver facing dash cams
Equipment: Rolling Carts & Lift Gates
Must be Registered for Selective Service
Schedule: 7 day a week operation with a scheduled day off during the week
Start Time: Appx 8am
Pre-employment and random drug testing
In addition to JD Frost Trucking employment requirements, for employment on this account, the United States Postal Service(USPS) requires:
Must pass a secondary background screen - Federal Level 2 conducted by the USPS to allow access to premises and/or to provide contractual services
Selective Service registration for males born after December 31, 1959, unless there is a legal exemption
Paid time off after 1 year of service
Paid training
JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting US Mail from Monroe HUB to Shreveport P&DC. This position requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely operate tractor trailer -MUST HAVE VERY PROFICIENT BACKING SKILLS
- Load and unload cargo
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations
- Execute delivery routes efficiently
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
- Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and on time
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid Commercial Drivers license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a Truck Driver (minimum 2 years experience)
- Ability to load and unload cargo using various equipment (e.g., forklift)
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
