We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor/Writer to join our fast-paced team. Duties
- Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their needs.
- Explain repair and maintenance services clearly, providing detailed auto estimates using computer-aided estimating tools.
- Collaborate with technicians to prioritize repairs, coordinate service schedules, and ensure timely completion of work.
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, transmissions, suspension work, or collision repairs to maximize customer value.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems (including diesel engines, air brakes, shocks & struts), and repair procedures to effectively communicate with customers and technicians.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and promote ongoing automotive care and vehicle maintenance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in auto service management or as a service writer within a automotive repair environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics, repairs, and mechanical systems such as transmissions, brakes, alignments, suspensions, and tire services.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and professionally.
- Experience in auto estimating software and automotive sales techniques; previous experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; driving experience is essential.
- Knowledge of computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools and auto body repair processes is a plus.
