Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead our pharmacy operations with enthusiasm and precision. Duties
- Manage all aspects of pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing, inventory control, and staff supervision
- Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws, USP 797 standards for sterile compounding, and healthcare compliance policies
- Oversee patient medication therapy management, including assessments, medication reconciliation, and personalized care plans
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff to maintain high-performance teams focused on excellent patient service
- Implement and utilize Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS), Electronic Health Record (EHR), and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems for accurate documentation and efficient workflow
- Conduct clinical reviews for specialized populations such as pediatrics, critical care patients, and those requiring pain management or IV infusions
- Maintain regulatory documentation, prepare for audits, and ensure pharmaceutical regulatory compliance across all operations
- Facilitate immunization programs, including vaccine administration in accordance with medical guidelines and legal requirements
- Lead efforts in medication compounding, aseptic techniques, and sterile procedures following USP 797 standards
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy outcomes while maintaining strict confidentiality policies
Skills
- Extensive LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy experience combined with hospital or acute care background
- Critical care experience with proficiency in patient assessment and medical management strategies
- Completion of a Pharmacy Residency program with clinical pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology to support comprehensive patient care
- Proficiency in pharmacy software systems such as PIS, EMR/EHR platforms, and inventory management tools
- Expertise in drug regulation laws, HIPAA compliance, and pharmaceutical regulatory standards including USP 797 guidelines for sterile preparations
- Skilled in immunizations administration, IV insertion techniques, aseptic technique, and IV infusion procedures
- Ability to perform medication administration accurately within a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Knowledge of hospital workflows including pain management protocols and acute care procedures
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing pharmacy teams while fostering a culture of safety and excellence
