Accounting Manager – Manufacturing
Location: Denver, CO (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Salary: $115,000-130,000 DOE
Overview
Well-established manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations while leading a team responsible for AP, AR, Payroll, Inventory, and Cost Accounting. This position partners closely with the Controller to improve accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and support the financial operations of a growing organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a team supporting AP, AR, Payroll, Inventory, and Cost Accounting
- Lead month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and balance sheet reviews
- Oversee standard cost accounting within a manufacturing environment
- Prepare financial, sales, and management reports
- Support inventory accounting, purchasing, and product costing analysis
- Review payroll, sales credits, and monthly reporting
- Drive process improvements and enhance accounting workflows
- Partner with leadership on financial reporting and operational initiatives
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong cost accounting experience
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience with Accumatica ERP
- Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables and financial modeling
- Experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Knowledge of inventory accounting and purchasing
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred
