Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated restaurant zealot, who is a beast of a line cook to be Sous Chef/Assistant Kitchen Manager in our high volume, fast paced, award winning restaurant. You will work in an environment that is demanding yet rewarding and fun. You must be effective in working all stations and assist the Manager in maintaining standards and order as well as learning, assuming, and assisting with managerial duties.
Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising all kitchen stations across the board: dish, prep, line.
- Working any station as needed, with a focus on cooking on the line.
- Motivate kitchen staff during shifts, instilling urgency when needed, and maintaining an attitude of persistence and determination.
- Enforce strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation practices across all kitchen areas.
- Assist in training new staff on kitchen procedures.
Qualifications
- Experience in a high volume kitchen setting.
- Proven ability to work in a team setting.
- Familiarity with inventory control, food safety protocols, and kitchen management systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities during shift management.
- Excellent communication skills. Determined work ethic
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
