We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Shipping & Receiving Warehouse Associate to join our team in West Chicago. This role is responsible for the efficient movement of incoming and outgoing materials, inventory control, freight handling, and supporting production operations.
Location: West Chicago, IL
Pay: $18.50 - $19.50 per hour
Shift: 1st Shift (Start Time: 6:00 AM or 7:30 AM)
Essential Responsibilities
- Safely unload inbound freight from trucks and containers.
- Weigh skids and pallets for outbound shipments.
- Verify roll counts and product quantities before wrapping and shipment.
- Review pick lists for accuracy and submit completed documentation for Bill of Lading preparation.
- Shrink wrap pallets and skids to secure products for transportation.
- Apply proper shipping labels and attach all required shipping documentation.
- Load outbound trucks accurately and safely using forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
- Prepare UPS and FedEx packages for daily shipment and pickup.
- Assist Warehouse Assistants and Slitter Operators with production-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or material handling experience preferred.
- Forklift experience required; forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to safely lift and move materials throughout the workday.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately complete paperwork.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable attendance and commitment to safety.
