Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers on over-the-road (OTR) routes, adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems, planning optimal delivery schedules while managing route driving responsibilities.
- Transport produce on refrigerated 53 feet trailer from West coast to South East coast of US
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with safety standards.
- Manage truck loading and unloading processes, ensuring cargo is handled correctly and damage-free.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and compliance records in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
Experience
- Valid CDL A license with 2 year of experience and clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and freight delivery.
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for transporting dangerous goods.
- Experience operating manual transmission trucks is highly desirable.
- Ability to handle logistics cargo efficiently while maintaining safety standards during load & unload procedures.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating deliveries and ensuring customer satisfaction.
