Ready Mix Fleet Maintenance & Safety Manager
Compensation: $115,000 – $130,000 annually Benefits: Company Truck | Fuel Card | Performance Bonus Eligibility
Fleet & Driver Responsibilities
- Oversee ready mix mixer truck fleet safety and maintenance
- Manage CDL driver hiring and onboarding
- Maintain driver qualification files
- Monitor hours of service compliance
- Enforce DOT driver and vehicle regulations
- Manage fleet telematics and driver behavior trends
- Reduce preventable vehicle incidents and claims
Safety & Compliance
- OSHA general industry + DOT/fleet safety (critical for mixer trucks + maintenance shop)
- Lockout / stored energy programs
- Silica + respiratory protection
- Heavy equipment interactions
- Fleet telematics / vehicle incident management
- Serious incident investigations
- Root cause + CAPA systems
- MSHA surface mining liaison (bonus, not required — general knowledge sufficient)
Leadership
- 5–15 years experience in fleet safety or heavy transportation
- Built and managed KPI dashboards
- Coached foremen and shop supervisors
- Handled regulator inspections
- Reduced TRIR + vehicle claims
- Influences operational leaders without being "the safety police"

· Experience with:

- fleet telematics / vehicle incidents
- serious incident investigations

- root cause + CAPA systems
- * MSHA surface mining experience (This is a bonus and not a must have. They have an employee well versed in MSHA on the rock pit side so more of a liaison type relationship some general knowledge would work well)
Compensation & Benefits
