Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, passionate, experienced and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team and ready to work. This role is essential in providing support and assistance to individuals with diverse needs, including those with autism, and other developmental disabilities individual . As a Direct Support Professional, you will help enhance the quality of life for residents by promoting independence, dignity, motivation, advocate, appointments, Sunday church, walking around the neighborhood and supportive environment. Individual has no preference , , individual is friendly, very lovely and pleasant lady.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist residents in maintaining their home environment, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive engagement, and motivation .
- Observe and document changes in residents' behavior or health status, reporting any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Advocate for resident rights and ensure compliance with all regulations regarding care standards.
- Individual is very well independent and need motivation.
- Facilitate communication between residents, families, and healthcare providers.
Skills
- Strong patient observation skills to monitor changes in behavior or health.
- Experience in assisting individuals with daily living activities.
- Knowledge in reading .
- Familiarity with home community care principles and assisted living environments.
- Understanding of resident rights and advocacy for individuals with disabilities.
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is highly desirable.
- Ability to provide direct support while fostering independence among residents.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with individual, and team members.
