Operating Room Nurse

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Operating Room Nurse (RN) to join our surgical team. This nurse will be responsible for circulating and/or scrubbing during surgical and endoscopic procedures, ensuring a sterile environment, supporting the surgical team, and maintaining patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative process. **Must have OR experience**
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a circulating and/or scrub nurse during OR and endoscopy procedures
- Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment
- Verify patient identity, surgical site, and informed consent
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and fellow staff to ensure safe and efficient case flow
- Monitor the patient’s condition and communicate any concerns during surgery
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of intraoperative care
- Participate in pre- and post-operative patient care and safety protocols
- Assist with OR setup, equipment checks, and inventory control
- Uphold infection control, surgical safety, and compliance with accreditation standards
- Contribute to a positive team environment and support onboarding of new staff
Qualifications:
- Current RN license (state of practice)
- Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required (circulating and/or scrubbing)
- ACLS & BLS certification required
- Infection Control Certificate required
- Strong knowledge of surgical asepsis, instrument handling, and perioperative standards
- Experience in ambulatory surgery or endoscopy setting a plus
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility with scheduling, including potential for weekend or on-call shifts

Compensation:$47-$55 per hour (depending on experience)
**This is NOT an on-call or overnight position.**
