Description:
We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our fast-growing company.
This is a full-time, onsite position based in Waller, TX, five days a week. This is a fast-paced
role where priorities and plans shift frequently — the ideal candidate is a strong multitasker
who adapts quickly to change, communicates well, and brings advanced Excel skills to the
table. This position reports to the Purchasing Manager who oversees all inbound raw materials
to hit sales goals. Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States and live within driving distance to the Waller, TX office.
+ ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Receiving, scanning, and archiving Purchase Orders and receiving documents
Recording vendor quotes
Managing vendor item properties
Confirming, updating, and reconciling Purchase Orders to match inbound shipments
Reconciling and managing confirmations from vendor to custom orders
Managing grow libraries
Preparing planning worksheets
Submitting and finalizing claims to vendors
Forecasting planned programs
Creating and filing landscape bookings
Working with contract grower partners to ensure product quality and claim windows are
adhered to
Efficiently utilizing AI tools to assist with identifying variances; training provided
Ensuring all Purchase Orders are completed and finalized prior to receiving tags being issued
Writes and sends Purchase Orders to vendors
Checks delivered items against packing slips
Communicates directly with vendors to resolve delivery delays or shortages
Tracks shipments and coordinates logistics across different internal teams
Requirements:
This is onsite salary position, 5 days a week in Waller, TX. Mon - Friday 8am - 5pm.
90% office-based environment and 10% walking the receiving and greenhouse areas to monitor and ensure vendor quality.
+ EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATION
Minimum 3 years of work experience; supply chain experience helpful
Prior experience in a Purchasing Coordinator or Buyer Coordinator role preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, adapt quickly to
changing plans, and stay effective in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proactive management approach — ability to look ahead, anticipate needs, and address
potential issues before they arise
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
No prior horticulture experience required
