REPORTING: The Business Office Manager reports to the Administrator.
JOB DUTIES:
1. To process census.
2. Bill for service rendered to various insurances.
3. To collect outstanding claims.
4. M-cal, Medicare, HMO and private billing.
5. Prepare and balance census in an accurate and timely manner.
6. Reviews Medicare, medi-cal, HMO and private billings for submission to corporate office to ensure accuracy and timeliness; reviews accounts receivable status reports to ensure accuracy, identification and resolution of “problem” accounts.
7. Provides liaison with corporate office to facilitate smooth interchange of information and efficient functioning of the business office.
8. Prepares delinquent reports for private and HMO aging on a timely manner.
9. Performs administrative duties as appropriate and assigned by the administrator.
10. Maintain accurate resident trust accounts.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must be a high school graduate.
2. Must have at least two years experienced in medical billing.
3. Knowledge of office procedures.
4. Ability to communicate effectively to other departments and personnel.
5. Must posses a professional manner in handling the public and co-workers.
6. Must have a professional appearance.
7. Be able to type at least 50 wpm and use a computer.
