Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. You will assist with product demonstrations, merchandising, and maintaining an organized store environment. Your ability to communicate effectively and handle transactions accurately will be key to your success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting with their inquiries.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
- Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about new items and promotions.
- Upsell products by understanding customer needs and suggesting relevant items.
- Maintain store displays through effective merchandising techniques to enhance product visibility.
- Stock shelves and ensure that products are organized and well-presented.
- Supervise junior staff members as needed, providing guidance and support in daily operations.
- Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory levels and assist in stock management.
- Exhibit strong phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries.
Requirements
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
- Previous experience in retail sales or a grocery store environment is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management.
- Experience with cash handling procedures and POS systems is a plus.
