Position Details - MUST HAVE RELEVANT EXPERIENCE TEACHING SWIM LESSONS
- Role: Part-Time Swim Instructor
- Hours: 2–10 hours per week
- Weekdays and weekends available
- Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on certifications and experience.
What You’ll Do
- Teach swimming skills and water safety techniques to individuals of all ages and abilities.
- Ensure a fun, engaging, and safe learning environment.
- Use your expertise to recognize water hazards, demonstrate lifesaving techniques, and follow safety protocols.
- Provide progress evaluations for students each session (approximately 10 weeks long).
- Stay calm, professional, and effective in emergencies.
What You’ll Bring
- Certifications (preferred but not required):
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Training
- Water Safety Instructor (WSI) or YMCA Swim Instructor Certification
- Standard First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
- Experience: At least 1 year of swim instruction preferred, with a variety of ages and ability levels. Applicants who have experience with special needs are strongly encouraged to apply!
- Skills:
- Strong swimming ability with endurance and proficiency.
- Excellent communication and motivational skills to inspire confidence in your students.
- Knowledge of safe, effective swim lesson techniques and pool safety.
