As an Assistant Civil Engineer, you will perform basic engineering and drafting tasks on projects. Applies standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks as part of a broader assignment.
Responsibilities
- Perform specific assignments designed to develop engineering knowledge and skills.
- Applies standard practices and techniques on specific tasks. Limited exercise of engineering judgment is required on work details and in making preliminary selections of engineering alternatives.
- Performs QA QC on assigned tasks. Reviews, checks, and corrects errors on work assigned prior to submittal to supervisor.
- Receives close supervision on new aspects of assignments. Supervisor selects techniques and procedures to be applied on non-routine work.
- Keeps abreast of new developments and methods affecting execution of assigned engineering tasks. Attends training workshops and seminars to expand knowledge in all areas of engineering.
What You Bring
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have completed the E.I.T. examination.
- No prior experience required
- Has a demonstrated competence in the understanding and application of mathematics and engineering principles and theory to projects.
- Demonstrates competence in the operation of CADD, engineering, and office software.
- Has basic knowledge in applying graphic standards, techniques, and principles to specific plans.
- Demonstrated understanding of QA QC processes and application to projects.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per month
