Duties
- Assist in preparing ingredients and cooking a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Handle food safely, ensuring proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices at all times
- Support food service operations by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and transactions
- Participate in heavy lifting tasks using safe lifting practices to move supplies, ingredients, and equipment
- Contribute to banquet setups, food presentation, and serving guests during special events or large groups
- Maintain effective communication with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and guest satisfaction
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
- Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and kitchen procedures is highly desirable
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with safe lifting practices
- Strong customer service skills with excellent communication abilities
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Previous banquet experience or hospitality background is advantageous
- Experience in cooking, food preparation, or hotel settings can enhance your application
