As an A-Level Tech at Trident, you will handle a wide variety of vehicles—from daily drivers to Fleet Vehicles—working with cutting-edge diagnostic tools and OE-level software. This position is ideal for a technician who takes pride in doing it right the first time and enjoys continuous learning and independence while working in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain all makes and models with an emphasis on accuracy and efficiency
- Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment (scan tools, scopes, etc.) to troubleshoot drivability, electrical, and mechanical issues
- Perform engine replacements, transmission work (no rebuilds), smog-related diagnostics, and complex repairs
- Collaborate with service advisors to communicate findings and timelines professionally
- Mentor junior techs and support a team-oriented environment
- Keep detailed notes and documentation per BAR standards
- Follow all California Bureau of Automotive Repair regulations
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience as an A-Level Technician
- ASE Certifications preferred but not required
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Valid California Driver’s License and insurable driving record
- Familiarity with California smog requirements a plus (we are a STAR-certified smog station)
- Must have your own tools
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
