ClearSpring Pharmacy is seeking a PRN Pharmacist to join our team. This position will cover for all 3 pharmacies- Long-Term Care, Retail and Compounding. We are looking to cover for several up coming medical leaves and vacation requests.
Responsibilities:
- Performs initial verification on written, electronic and phone prescriptions for accuracy and completeness.
- Complete the final check on all prescriptions made from anticipatory compounded stock and traditionally manufactured medications.
- Supervises the pharmacy technicians and pharmacy intern staff including, but not limited to, filling new and refill prescriptions.
- Log out schedule II prescriptions (recount schedule II RX).
- Have ability to work at all retail locations (Cherry Creek and Littleton) within ClearSping organizations.
- Ability to administer or supervise vaccination administration.
- Ability to perform point of care testing including, but not limited to, blood pressure checks, cholesterol checks and flu/COVID tests (preferred).
- Completing tasks assigned by the Pharmacist in Charge.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
- Current state pharmacy license in good standing.
- Proven experience working as a pharmacist in a retail or clinical setting. Compounding experience is a bonus.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, drug interactions, and medication therapy management.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications.
- Exceptional communication and counseling skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Proficient in pharmacy software systems and technology.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care.
