Position Summary
The Community Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs throughout Parkside Place Homeowners Association. This position helps ensure community amenities, common areas, and facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained while providing responsive, high-quality service to residents and the management team.
Essential Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections of buildings, common areas, and community amenities.

Complete minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and painting repairs.

Perform preventative maintenance to reduce long-term repair costs.

Maintain the clubhouse, pool, spa, sauna, restrooms, signage, fencing, walkways, lighting, and community amenities.

Identify safety hazards and maintenance issues requiring outside vendors or licensed contractors.

Recommend preventative maintenance and capital improvements.

Maintain accurate maintenance records.

Communicate professionally with residents, vendors, and management.

Assist with special projects and additional maintenance duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.

Valid Florida driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Ability to successfully complete a background screening.

Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general building maintenance.

Ability to safely use hand and power tools.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Two or more years of maintenance, facilities, handyman, or property maintenance experience.

Experience working within an HOA, condominium, apartment community, or commercial property.
Physical Requirements
-
Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and lift materials.

Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Safely operate maintenance equipment, ladders, and hand and power tools.

Respond to occasional urgent maintenance needs outside the normal schedule when requested.
