Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, edging, and pruning to ensure pristine grounds.
- Operate grounds maintenance and landscaping equipment such as power tools, lawn mowers, excavators, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently.
- Identify various plants and trees to support proper horticultural care and landscape design.
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Apply pesticides and fertilizers following safety protocols to protect plant health while minimizing environmental impact.
- Conduct hardscape maintenance including cleaning and repairing pathways, patios, or retaining walls.
- Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow plowing or tree trimming to maintain year-round landscape quality.
Qualifications
- Prior outdoor work experience or grounds maintenance background is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices, horticulture, and plant identification.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment operation including lawn mowers, trimmers, excavators, and irrigation systems.
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair or troubleshooting is a plus.
- Ability to follow safety protocols diligently while operating machinery or handling chemicals like pesticides.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Construction experience or knowledge of hardscape installation is advantageous but not required.
