Electrician / Emergency Vehicle Technician
Mobile Concepts Specialty Vehicles engineers, designs, and manufactures custom, task-specific vehicles including trailers, sprinter vans and box trucks for a wide range of industries. We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team and help deliver high-quality specialty vehicle solutions.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment, components, and systems, including:
- Wiring and receptacles
- Switch boxes and breaker panels
- Computers, monitors, and televisions
- Satellite communication systems
- Security camera systems
- Interior and exterior lighting
- Perform electrical testing for continuity, voltage, current, and resistance.
- Inspect electrical components and installations to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and production teams to improve processes and enhance product performance.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently while maintaining accurate documentation.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- Strong understanding of electrical theory, methods, materials, tools, equipment, and systems used in the electrical trade.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Working knowledge of:
- 120V and 240V AC systems
- 12V DC systems
- CAT6 networking
- HDMI and coaxial cabling
- Experience with automotive electrical installations, including:
- Emergency Vehicle lighting systems
- Scene lighting
- Siren packages
- Familiarity with security camera systems, NVRs, and matrix switching equipment.
- Strong networking skills, including installation and troubleshooting of routers, switches, and PoE devices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Experience and Education
- 2–5 years of relevant electrical installation or troubleshooting experience.
- Trade school certification, vocational diploma, or equivalent training preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality workmanship in a manufacturing environment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Full-time position
- Pay: $22.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience
- Four-day work week (4 x 10-hour shifts), providing a three-day weekend every week
