The Role
We’re hiring a compassionate, full-time paralegal to join our collaborative team, providing production support to our attorneys across estate planning, trust administration, and probate. You’ll be a friendly expert who works directly with clients, prepares their documents, and manages cases—ensuring every client’s experience is accurate, smooth, and memorable.
What You’ll Do
- Draft and review estate planning documents—revocable living trusts, pour-over wills, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, amendments, and related instruments
- Draft documents related to trust administration and probate, including pleadings, affidavits of death, deeds, and required tax forms and returns
- Create asset lists and allocations for A/B and A/B/C trusts, and coordinate asset valuations when appropriate
- Prepare and run document-signing meetings from start to finish, including arranging witnesses and notary services
- Communicate with clients to gather information, set clear timelines, and follow up on open items
- Track post-signing tasks—deed recording, funding follow-ups, and client-satisfaction touchpoints
- Maintain accurate calendars, status reports, and database notes for all open matters
- Protect confidentiality and uphold our high-quality standards with care and consistency
What Makes You a Great Fit
- 2 to 5 years in a legal setting, with experience drafting and reviewing estate planning documents
- Probate or estate administration experience preferred
- Notary certificate, or willingness to obtain one, a plus
- Professional presence with excellent data-entry, proofreading, grammar, and client-communication skills
- Strong organization to juggle calendars, deadlines, and file progress—detail-driven, accurate, and dependable in your follow-through
- You love working with people, especially older adults and their families, and collaborating with teammates to coordinate documents and manage case workflows
- You are an accountable problem solver who improves systems
- You bring a positive attitude and a high work ethic
- Experienced with Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Zoom
