Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation by chopping, assembling, and plating ingredients according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
- Support cooking processes by following instructions from chefs or kitchen supervisors to ensure timely service
- Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling procedures and safety regulations at all times
- Serve guests efficiently by bussing tables, refilling supplies, and supporting front-of-house staff as needed
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and transactions
- Uphold high standards of guest service by maintaining a friendly attitude, communicating effectively with team members, and ensuring guest satisfaction
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with knowledge of food handling practices
- Strong understanding of food preparation techniques and cooking fundamentals
- Previous experience with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Knowledge of banquet operations, catering support, or hotel kitchen experience is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and serve guests professionally
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations to ensure a safe dining environment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
