Job Summary
Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Barback and Food Runner, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring seamless service and an exceptional guest experience. In this energetic position, you'll support bartenders and servers by maintaining a clean and organized bar area, assisting with food delivery, and ensuring all guests receive prompt, friendly service. Duties
- Restock and organize bar supplies, glassware, and utensils to ensure readiness for service
- Assist bartenders by preparing garnishes, ice, and beverages as needed to facilitate efficient drink service
- Clear and buss tables promptly, ensuring cleanliness and guest satisfaction throughout their visit
- Safely handle food and beverage items during delivery from kitchen to dining area, adhering to food safety standards
- Support with food running duties by delivering dishes quickly and accurately to guests’ tables
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas including bar stations, dining spaces, and service stations through regular cleaning routines
- Follow safe manual handling practices when lifting heavy items like crates or boxes of supplies
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate timely service and guest needs
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and proper cleaning procedures
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on in-person customer service excellence
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while following safe lifting practices
- Familiarity with food running, serving, bussing, or banquet experience is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality setting while maintaining a positive attitude
