Overview
This is a remote contractor role open to applicants in the U.S. and Canada. The Remote French Contractor will support the development, review, and improvement of French curriculum materials for students. Responsibilities may include creating instructional content for grades K-8, reviewing French lessons and activities, adapting materials for student learning levels, researching age-appropriate language concepts, and supporting curriculum updates as needed.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, has strong French language skills, and is familiar with Canadian French usage, vocabulary, grammar, and educational expectations. This role is best suited for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and able to complete curriculum-related projects within deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Assist with writing, reviewing, and revising French curriculum materials
- Support the development of student activities, lesson content, worksheets, assessments, and instructional resources
- Ensure French content is accurate, age-appropriate, and aligned with student learning goals
- Review materials for grammar, spelling, vocabulary, clarity, and consistency
- Adapt or improve content based on feedback from the curriculum team
- Conduct research to support accurate and relevant French language instruction
- Ensure materials reflect appropriate Canadian French language conventions when needed
- Collaborate remotely with curriculum team members to complete assigned projects
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in the French language
- Experience with or strong knowledge of Canadian French
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow curriculum guidelines
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Experience in education, tutoring, teaching, curriculum development, or instructional content creation preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, French, Linguistics, or a related field preferred
- Experience creating or reviewing educational materials for children is a plus
