Direct Support Professional – Day Program
Pay: $15.00/hour
Hours: 9:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Location: 2101 N Main St, suite 105, Sunset, UT, 84015
We are looking for dependable, positive, and compassionate individuals to join our team working with adults with disabilities in an activity-based day program.
Our program focuses on helping our clients stay active, engaged, and involved in their community. Each day may look a little different! Staff participate in activities at our program as well as community outings while providing the level of support each individual client needs.
Our clients have a wide range of disabilities and support needs, including intellectual and developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, blindness/visual impairments, and individuals who use wheelchairs.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct support and supervision to adults with disabilities.
- Participate in and help facilitate daily activities, games, crafts, outings, and other recreational opportunities.
- Accompany and assist clients during community outings.
- Assist clients with personal care when needed, including brief changes, toileting needs and feeding.
- Safely assist with transfers, mobility, positioning, and other physical needs.
- Be physically capable of lifting at least 75 lbs.
- Support clients who may occasionally display mild to medium behavioral challenges.
- Follow individual client plans, routines, safety procedures, and staff instructions.
- Encourage clients to participate, socialize, build independence, and have a positive experience.
- Communicate and work effectively with coworkers as part of a team.
- Be willing to learn about different disabilities and the individual needs of the people we serve.

- Is willing to participate in activities and community outings rather than simply supervise from the sidelines.
- Is flexible and understands that daily assignments and client needs may change.
Schedule
We currently have two part-time positions available. Both positions have the same responsibilities, hours, and rate of pay.
First Position – 4 Days per Week
- Monday
- Tuesday
- Wednesday
- Friday
- 9:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Second Position – 3 Days per Week
- Monday
- Tuesday
- Thursday
- 9:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Employees receive a 30-minute lunch, typically taken sometime between 11:00 AM and 12:30 PM. The exact lunch time may vary depending on the client you are assigned to and their schedule that day.
Pay: $15.00 per hour
