Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a CAD Designer for a client supporting government, military, and regulated-industry fabrication projects in Portland, OR. This role is responsible for reviewing specifications, updating CAD drawings, documenting field changes, and ensuring fabrication and installation details meet required codes and quality-control standards.
Pay & Schedule
Pay: $35.65–$41.27/hour DOE
Shift: Day Shift
Key Responsibilities
- Review specifications and interpret contract drawing requirements
- Update and revise AutoCAD drawings accurately based on project and field needs
- Document field changes and maintain redline/as-built drawings
- Apply correct weld symbol and callout standards to drawings
- Prepare and maintain PCP documentation in line with project requirements
- Ensure fabrication and installation details comply with applicable codes, standards, and customer/government quality-control expectations
- Coordinate with engineering, quality, and production teams to support accurate project execution
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with AutoCAD
- Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting government, military, or regulated-industry projects
- Working understanding of applicable drawing-control requirements
- Experience with redline/as-built drawing procedures
- Familiarity with weld symbol/callout standards
- Experience with PCP documentation
- Ability to review specifications and interpret contract drawing requirements
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
