Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Vinyl Wrap Installer to join our dynamic automotive customization team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality vinyl wraps to a variety of vehicles, transforming their appearance with precision and craftsmanship. Duties
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal adhesion of vinyl wraps
- Measure and cut vinyl material accurately to fit vehicle contours and specifications
- Apply vinyl wraps smoothly using squeegees, heat guns, and other hand tools, ensuring bubble-free and wrinkle-free finishes
- Use surface preparation techniques such as masking, sanding, and cleaning to achieve a professional look
- Perform minor auto body repairs or touch-ups as needed to facilitate perfect wrap application
- Operate power tools including grinders, buffing machines, and airless paint sprayers for surface finishing and detailing
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols such as respiratory protection when working with adhesives or sprays
- Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks like auto glass replacement or auto restoration projects when required
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction
Skills
- Proven experience in dealership environments or automotive customization shops preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance, auto body repair, and auto painting techniques
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, grinders, buffing equipment, and airless paint spraying systems
- Knowledge of surface preparation masking, sanding, and detailing processes for optimal wrap adhesion
- Ability to operate welding equipment and understand automotive body refinishing procedures
- Familiarity with auto estimating software and customer service principles for effective communication with clients
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and working in various positions for extended periods
- Mechanic experience or auto restoration background is highly advantageous
- Commitment to safety practices including respiratory protection when handling adhesives or spray paints
