The city of New York Mills is seeking an outstanding candidate for a full-time Public Works Director. This position is responsible for supervision and coordination over streets, water, wastewater, natural gas, parks, pool, and building maintenance departments. Manages public works budget and inventory and plans for capital improvements.
Required: Extensive knowledge of utility systems, including natural gas, water and sewer infrastructure. Knowledge of budget planning and asset management. Must have administrative and computer skills along with good supervisory skills. Current 4th class special engineer boiler license, or ability to obtain it. Must have valid class C water and class D wastewater licensure, or ability to obtain it. Must have Natural Gas Operator Qualifications as per PHMSA 192. Subpart N., or ability to obtain it. Minimum qualifications include two years vocational training and two years supervisory experience, and five years of experience related to public works/utilities, or an equivalent combination of education and or experience. Salary range: $35.58 - $43.91 per hour.
