High volume, multi-specialty eye care facility seeking cooperative, dependable and energetic candidate for a patient registration position.
The patient receptionist performs routine clerical, secretarial and administrative work in greeting and assisting patients, insurance verification, management of appointment schedule and accurate record-keeping.
Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
Check patients in/out
Checks office Voicemail system and distributes messages accordingly.
Collects patient information and data to include insurance information to provide to insurance coordinator for verification
Collects co-payments, deductibles and maintains payment log
Prepare new and existing patient charts for office visit.
Request patient’s demographic information update as needed
Assist in preparing patients’ charts for appointments scheduled.
Provides copy of payment log to Insurance Coordinator and Billing Coordinator at the end of each business day.
Provides all monies to Billing Coordinator for verification.
Prepares, notifies and routes necessary insurance information updates to insurance coordinator.
Recalls
Cross training with other areas.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must Speak Spanish
- Accuracy and precision with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, completing in a timely manner
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work well with diverse population
- Personable, pleasant as well as professional demeanor
- Computer literate with knowledge of office procedures
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Exceptional ability to meet public and put them at ease
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
