HR Administrator / HR Manager
Position Summary
Libra Staffing is seeking a highly organized, compliance-driven HR professional to support and strengthen our internal HR operations across California and multi-state staffing operations.
This role can be structured as either option below depending on candidate experience:
- HR Administrator (execution-focused support role), or
- HR Manager (leadership and process ownership role)
The ideal candidate understands the fast-paced nature of staffing operations and can balance employee support, compliance, urgency, professionalism, and operational execution.
This position plays a critical role in:
- employee relations coordination,
- onboarding and compliance,
- leaves and accommodations,
- corrective action administration,
- HR recordkeeping,
- policy enforcement,
- and support of California labor compliance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support employee onboarding, offboarding, and personnel file management
- Assist with employee relations matters, investigations, and documentation
- Coordinate corrective actions, written warnings, and termination documentation
- Maintain confidentiality with all employee and company matters
- Assist employees with HR questions regarding policies, benefits, payroll, and leaves
- Ensure compliance with California labor laws and company policies
- Monitor I-9, E-Verify, and onboarding documentation completion
- Assist with leave administration including CFRA, FMLA, ADA interactive process coordination, and paid sick leave compliance
- Maintain OSHA and workplace safety documentation
- Support workers’ compensation claim administration and communication
- Coordinate with recruiters, operations, payroll, and client management teams
- Help maintain accurate records within HRIS/ATS systems
- Support multi-location and multi-state staffing operations
- Assist with audits, reporting, and internal compliance initiatives
- Maintain organized digital HR records
- Track deadlines, expirations, trainings, and compliance requirements
- Draft professional HR correspondence and employee communications
- Identify process improvement opportunities and operational efficiencies
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of HR, staffing, payroll, or employee relations experience
- Strong understanding of California employment practices
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters professionally
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR/payroll systems
- Staffing industry experience
- Experience with Avionté or similar ATS/payroll systems
- Multi-state HR experience
- Experience handling leaves, investigations, or workers’ compensation
- Bilingual Spanish preferred but not required

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
