Scope of position
The Laundry Driver/Washer is responsible for collecting, transporting, washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and other laundry items to support the hotel’s daily operations. This position ensures that clean, high-quality linens are available for guest rooms and other hotel departments while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Position Requirements

Professional demeanor appropriate for a resort environment.

Effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns and issues raised by team members and hotel guests.

Knowledge of proper chemical handling, cleaning techniques and use of equipment/ machinery.

Previous housekeeping experience in a large hotel environment preferred.

Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
Responsibilities

Collect soiled linens, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items from designated areas throughout the property.

Safely operate a company vehicle or laundry cart to transport linens between the hotel and laundry facility, as applicable.

Sort laundry according to type, color, fabric, and level of soiling.

Operate commercial washers, dryers, ironers, folders, and other laundry equipment.

Measure and use laundry chemicals according to established procedures and safety guidelines.

Inspect linens for stains, damage, or excessive wear and separate items requiring additional treatment or replacement.

Fold, organize, and properly store clean linens and towels.

Maintain accurate counts and ensure adequate linen inventory for hotel operations.

Deliver clean linens to designated departments and collect soiled linens as needed.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, equipment, storage areas, and vehicle.

Follow all safety, sanitation, and chemical-handling procedures.

Report equipment malfunctions, damaged linens, supply shortages, or safety concerns to management.

Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with guests and associates.

Assist other housekeeping or hotel departments as needed.

Perform any other reasonable duties as required by management.
Education
Skills and Abilities

Ability to communicate in the English language (Second language is a plus).

Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.

Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends.

Able to perform multiple tasks.
Physical Requirements

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
-
Must be physically fit to lift, pull, and push items up to 50 pounds.

Also requires standing/walking/reaching and bending throughout shift (up to 8 hours).
