Our client is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing Finance & Accounting team. This position will play a key role in supporting the monthly close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, accounts payable operations, and day-to-day accounting activities. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment who is looking to expand their technical accounting knowledge. This person will report into & support the Controller by overseeing the AP functions by providing guidance, direction, and day-to-day support. This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.

Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.

Analyze financial results and investigate variances.

Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure compliance with company accounting policies.

Assist with cash management and bank reconciliations.

Investigate and resolve complex invoice, pricing, receiving, and payment discrepancies.

Prepare and execute payment runs, including ACH payments, wire transfers, and check disbursements.

Handle vendor inquiries and maintain the integrity of the vendor master file, including vendor setup and maintenance.

Prepare journal entries for unbilled receipts, accounts payable accruals, and other month-end close activities.

Enforce approval workflows and internal controls to prevent duplicate, unauthorized, or fraudulent payments.

Oversee W-9 collection, vendor tax setup, and annual 1099 reporting requirements.

Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reporting packages.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.

3+ years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing

Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, month-end close activities & internal controls.

Understanding of GAAP
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel - Ability to generate Pivot Tables
- Experience with ERP systems required - Infor M3 preferred
