Join our dynamic team as a Warehouse Worker / Delivery specialist, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and distribution processes. You'll be responsible for handling heavy equipment, operating various warehouse machinery, and ensuring that all shipments are accurately picked, packed, loaded, and delivered efficiently. Duties
- Safely operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and other mechanical tools to load and unload shipments.
- Manage inventory control through accurate stock counting, tracking using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS), and maintaining proper storage practices.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping by following detailed instructions and utilizing order picker tools.
- Ensure proper packaging of goods to prevent damage during transit while adhering to safety regulations and PPE protocols.
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and updating inventory records in AS400 or similar systems.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently while maintaining safety standards outlined by OSHA and company policies.
- Support warehouse distribution tasks including stocking shelves, organizing materials handling processes, and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Use manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks while following safety procedures to prevent injuries.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize warehouse management practices and improve overall workflow efficiency.
Experience
- Previous warehouse experience is highly preferred, especially in roles involving inventory management, order picking & packing, or shipping & receiving.
- Demonstrated proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, or AS400 is advantageous.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes or pallet jacks; certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety regulations including OSHA standards and PPE use is essential for maintaining a safe work environment.
- Mechanical knowledge or construction experience can be beneficial for understanding equipment operation and troubleshooting issues.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or construction environments will support your success in this role.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting safely are required.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies like mechanical devices or inventory control systems enhances your effectiveness on the job.
