Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, including sweeping, mopping, and buffing to maintain a pristine appearance.
- Conduct routine custodial tasks such as dusting, trash removal, window cleaning, and restocking supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break areas, and common spaces to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Use commercial cleaning equipment safely and effectively, including vacuums, buffers, and floor scrubbers.
- Assist with light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to facilities management.
- Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Support overall facilities maintenance to uphold the store’s appearance and operational standards.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in retail, commercial, or industrial settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, and sealing floors is highly desirable.
- Experience with cleaning equipment including buffers, vacuums, and floor scrubbers will be advantageous.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices or residential painting experience can be beneficial.
