Ion Art, Inc., an eclectic and artistic company specializing in architectural decor, sculptural art, and custom signage fabrication, is currently seeking an experienced, well-versed Custom Metal Fabricator with 3 to 5 years of experience in the trade. This position requires a positive, enthusiastic, ethical, and detail-oriented individual who wants to be part of a well-established 40-year-old company.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must have extensive experience working in a production environment with the ability to build highly detailed metal products in an efficient manner.
- Must be able to build accurately from plans and adhere to specifications.
- Mechanically inclined and sufficient with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
- Must have strong welding skills: TIG, MIG, & STICK.
- Shape metal materials over jigs, blocks, or other types of forms by using hand tools
- Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and sand smooth surfaces by using hand tools and portable power tools
- Weld, solder, bolt, rivet, screw, clip, caulk, or bond component parts to assemble products
- Able to go on installs to see your project through
- Work with production designers and artists on drawing submittals to clients
- Assist with creating fabrication and installation material take-off lists
- Must pay attention to details and take pride in quality work done well
