Are you passionate about helping people overcome barriers and achieve their career goals? WORK Inc. is looking for a compassionate, motivated, and organized Employment Specialist to support parents participating in Rhode Island Works programs.
In this role, you’ll work one-on-one with job seekers to build confidence, develop career plans, connect them to training opportunities, and secure meaningful employment, empowering them to provide for themselves and their families. You’ll also partner with local businesses to create inclusive hiring opportunities and help individuals thrive in the workplace.
This position is perfect for someone who enjoys building relationships, problem-solving, advocating for others, and making a real impact in the community every day.
What You’ll Do

Support individuals with career planning, resume development, job searches, and employment goal setting

Provide one-on-one job readiness training focused on confidence building, workplace skills, and interview preparation

Work collaboratively with a team to support the organization’s mission

Help clients identify and overcome barriers to employment
- Maintain communication with clients and DHS ECA’s

Maintain accurate case notes and client documentation using Salesforce
- Connect individuals to community resources, training, and educational opportunities
- Provide ongoing support to help clients succeed and retain employment

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or related field preferred
- Experience in human services, workforce development, or case management preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- Strong communication, organization, and case management skills
- Passion for helping others achieve independence and success
- Ability to build relationships with clients, businesses, and community partners
