As part of our continued growth, we’re looking for a detail-oriented and personable Receptionist to join our patient-focused team. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for many of our patients, helping to ensure their care journey begins smoothly and continues seamlessly.
Job Duties:
- Greet all patients and visitors warmly, creating a welcoming and professional first impression.
- Check patients in and out efficiently, ensuring all necessary forms and payments are completed.
- Answer incoming calls, route inquiries to the correct department, and take detailed messages when necessary.
- Schedule follow-up appointments based on provider direction and treatment timelines.
- Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information at each visit.
- Collect and process payments accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and lobby area.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
- Accurately input and update appointment information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Assist with administrative support tasks such as scanning, filing, and data entry.
- Ensure all patient interactions reflect the clinic’s values of compassion, respect, and excellence in care.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a medical or wellness clinic setting – required
- Proven experience in appointment scheduling, front desk operations, and patient coordination
- Strong understanding of medical office workflows and patient care timelines
- Proficiency with EMR systems and scheduling software (experience with eClinicalWorks is a plus)
- High school diploma or equivalent – required; Associate's or Bachelor's in healthcare administration or related field – preferred
