Role Summary
We’re hiring a Field Manager (Customer & Crew Liaison) to keep our jobs moving, our crews productive, and our customers taken care of. You’re the key link between the office, crews, and homeowners—making sure work is completed on time, done right, and issues are handled quickly. When the field is running smoothly, our teams get full hours and customers stay happy. This role is essential to that.
What You’ll Do
- Customer communication: Provide updates before/during projects, promptly respond to texts/calls, and keep homeowners informed.
- Crew coordination: Work with painting/carpentry teams to ensure job readiness, clear direction, and smooth daily execution.
- Job site leadership: Ensure quality work is performed in a timely manner; identify issues early and get them solved.
- Problem-solving & complaints: Handle customer complaints professionally and resolve issues quickly (with support from leadership when needed).
- Logistics: Move job trailers, coordinate job setups, and keep sites supplied and moving.
- Materials & runs: Pick up paint/lumber/supplies (Sherwin-Williams, Home Depot, Menards, etc.) and ensure crews have what they need.
- Change orders / added expenses: Communicate additional costs clearly to customers and coordinate approvals.
- Closeout process: Follow end-of-job checklists, complete final walk-throughs, and collect payment.
- Operations support: Partner with the Operations Manager to keep scheduling, production, and closeouts running efficiently.
- Hands-on fixes when needed: Help keep the business moving forward—sometimes that’s solving a problem fast (ex: swapping a trailer tire, quick troubleshooting, coordinating repairs).
Pay Structure:
This position starts at a base pay of $30/hour. The listed pay range reflects the opportunity to earn additional income through monthly performance bonuses, commission opportunities from leads, and guaranteed overtime during the majority of the year.
We want to be upfront that this is not a flat $30/hour position. Instead, we offer a strong base hourly rate with additional pay available for managers who perform well, take ownership, communicate effectively, and help jobs run smoothly.
Availability / Expectations
- This is a field-first role. You’ll be on the move daily between active jobs.
- You must be responsive to customer communication, including after-hours when needed. A company cell phone will be provided.
- Some days will run later depending on job needs and issue resolution.
- Typical working hours are 8AM-5PM (or 6PM) Mon-Fri with an 8AM-1PM Saturday shift about once a month.
- Overtime opportunities may be available based on workload and season.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong communication skills (calm, professional, confident)
- Ability to communicate effectively with non-English speaking team members
- Comfortable handling customer issues and finding solutions
- Able to manage multiple jobs and priorities in a fast-moving environment
- High attention to detail and quality standards
- Reliable, responsible, and self-directed—this role requires ownership
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record - a company vehicle is assigned
- Able to lift/carry materials and perform physical tasks as needed
Preferred (Not Required)
- Bi-lingual in Spanish
- Experience in residential painting, carpentry/wood rot, construction project coordination, or field supervision
- Trailer towing / job trailer moving experience
- Familiarity with jobsite checklists, closeouts, and customer-facing walkthroughs
