## Handyman / Move-Damage Repair Technician

Simple Moves is looking for a skilled and dependable handyman to help repair minor damage that may occur during residential and commercial moves. This role is ideal for someone with experience in general home repairs who takes pride in quality workmanship and customer service.
### Responsibilities
- Repair and touch up wood surfaces, trim, doors, and furniture
- Perform upholstery repairs and basic furniture restoration
- Repair scratched or damaged hardwood, laminate, and other flooring
- Patch, texture, and paint drywall
- Repair minor dents, scuffs, holes, and surface damage
- Assess damage and determine the appropriate repair method
- Communicate professionally with customers and explain completed work
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Document repairs with notes and photos when needed
- Work closely with the moving team and management
### Qualifications
- Previous experience in handyman work, home repair, restoration, or a related trade
- Skills in wood repair, drywall, flooring, upholstery, and painting
- Ability to accurately assess damage and provide practical repair solutions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Professional appearance and excellent customer-service skills
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift materials and work in a variety of residential and commercial environments
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple repair assignments
### Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the moving, furniture delivery, restoration, or property maintenance industry
- Knowledge of flooring repair and furniture restoration
- A personal set of standard hand tools
- Prior experience working directly with customers
