Duties
- Assist licensed electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on construction sites.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to run conduit, pull wire, and install electrical components according to schematics and blueprints.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to support project execution.
- Measure electrical circuits using tools like ohmmeters and troubleshoot low voltage and high voltage systems.
- Support the setup of low voltage wiring for communication systems and security alarms in commercial buildings.
- Follow all safety procedures related to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and construction site protocols.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris, and ensuring safety compliance at all times.
Qualifications
- 3 years of previous experience in industrial or commercial electrician work is required.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprint reading, and basic electrical theory.
- Experience working on construction sites or in construction environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of low voltage systems, high voltage safety practices, and NEC standards.
- Ability to operate testing devices such as ohmmeters confidently for troubleshooting purposes.
- Basic understanding of construction skills is advantageous.
