We are looking to fill 1 First Shift & 1 Second Shift Mechanic position
Machine Maintenance Mechanic: The Machine Maintenance Mechanic will support Operations’ objectives by keeping production equipment operating efficiently. Typically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: machine and equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication. Uses hand and power tools. Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment. The ability to work with both management and production supervision to achieve the company's production goals. This position works in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Performs preventative maintenance to assure cost-effective maintenance and a scheduled maintenance program to provide maintenance by manufacturers' specifications.
- Performs repair work on equipment, utilities, and facility systems as assigned by supervisor.
- Performs electrical troubleshooting, PLCs, as well as mechanical.
- Determines material, equipment, and supplies to be used.
- Must track usage of parts and maintain inventory of commonly used parts.
- Completes work orders to ensure proper documentation.
- Changes bearings, gears, chains, belts, and mechanical components on equipment
- Directs operators in the use of safety equipment and procedures.
- Performs other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of this position.
Education & Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Trade school/Certifications/Licenses
- 3+ years working in machine and equipment repair and electrical
- Pharmaceutical Manufacturing environment experience strongly preferred
Skills:
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment with accuracy and speed
- Knowledge of methods, techniques and procedures involved in maintenance and repairs and replacement
- Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties
- Ability to coordinate programs, prepare reports and maintain accurate records
- Basic knowledge of electrical, electronics, pneumatics, mechanical, hydraulics and structural maintenance
- Basic understanding of industry codes and standards
- Must follow all company policies, practices and regulations to include Safety and Quality
- Must be able to read and understand wiring diagrams and exploded view blueprints
