Simmons Eye Care in Benton, AR is looking for a reliable, friendly, outgoing optometric technician/scribe to join our amazing team. The ideal applicant enjoys talking to and interacting with others, working side-by-side with co-workers to complete daily tasks, and learning new skills. Hours are Mon-Fri 7:45-5:00. Duties include:
- pre-testing patients
- taking medical history
- sitting in with optometrist during the exam to enter information into electronic health record (Exam Writer/Office Mate)
- performing additional testing (VF, OCT, ERG, TOPOGRAPHY) when needed
- answering phones
- scheduling appointments
- verifying health insurance and vision plan eligibility
Starting pay will depend on experience. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply!
