Responsibilities
- Operate tow trucks, flatbeds, and other recovery equipment to load, unload, and transport vehicles efficiently and safely
- Conduct basic automotive diagnostics and mechanical assessments to determine appropriate recovery methods
- Use manual transmissions and driving skills to maneuver heavy-duty tow trucks in diverse environments
- Load and unload vehicles with precision, ensuring damage-free handling during recovery or transport
- Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and team members to coordinate recovery operations
- Manage conflict situations professionally when dealing with distressed vehicle owners or challenging scenarios
- Maintain detailed logs of recoveries, vehicle conditions, and operational activities for record-keeping purposes
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating tow trucks, flatbeds, or similar commercial driving equipment
- Familiarity with manual transmissions and vehicle loading/unloading procedures
- Valid driver’s license with F endorsement and clean driving record; experience with tow truck or wrecker operation preferred
- Mechanical experience or mechanic background is highly desirable
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly while providing excellent customer service
- Be able pass criminal back ground check
