Job Title: Retail Sales Associate
Job Type: Part-time or Full-time (all positions are seasonal starting as early as September and ending in March)
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Pay: Starting at $16/hr (based on experience) + shared tips + employee discounts + performance bonus opportunities
What You’ll Do:
- Greet customers and offer personalized recommendations
- Process sales transactions accurately using the cash register and Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Help customers find the right ski, snowboard, or outdoor gear for their needs
- Maintain clean, organized displays and restock inventory as needed
- Assist with rentals, returns, and trade-in evaluations
- Support other departments (like tuning or e-commerce) during downtime
- Be a friendly, knowledgeable, and professional face of our shop
What We’re Looking For:
- Friendly, approachable attitude with great communication skills
- Retail, sales, or customer service experience (ski/snowboard shop experience a plus!)
- A passion for skiing, snowboarding, or outdoor adventure
- Ability to lift and move gear (up to 40 lbs) and be on your feet during shifts
- Reliable, team-oriented, and ready to learn
- Available evenings and weekends (especially during the winter season)
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail in processing transactions.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and positive attitude.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash registers is advantageous.
- Good phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Strong communication skills to engage with customers and team members effectively.
