Job Title: RN – Inpatient Rehab
Location: Herrin, IL
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift:
- 3x12 Night Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every 3rd Weekend (Friday & Saturday Nights)
- Sunday considered part of the regular work week with some flexibility available
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for an Inpatient Rehab assignment in Herrin, Illinois. The ideal candidate will have strong acute care nursing experience and be comfortable caring for a high neuro and rehabilitation patient population in a fast-paced inpatient setting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to inpatient rehabilitation patients
- Assess patient conditions and monitor changes in neurological and medical status
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and charting
- Educate patients and families regarding rehabilitation care plans and treatments
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control practices
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during night shifts
Requirements:
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse License required
- Current CPR/BLS Certification required
- Recent inpatient rehab or medical-surgical nursing experience preferred
- Experience caring for neuro/stroke patients preferred
- Stroke certification is a plus but not required
