Overview
Seeking a reliable, experienced Straight Truck Driver, operating non-CDL box trucks to deliver exceptional service and reliable transportation solutions.
Duties
- Safely operate box trucks with manual transmission across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring items are secured properly for transit.
- Deliver goods directly to customers’ locations, providing excellent customer service through professional interaction and timely arrivals.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure the truck’s safety and proper functioning.
- Route documentation, and delivery receipts to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Assist with warehouse activities such as organizing inventory, moving freight within the facility, and supporting loading/unloading processes.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate routes, report issues, and optimize daily operations.
Experience
- Previous delivery driver experience with box trucks or similar commercial vehicles is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a focus on professionalism and positive interactions.
- Experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus; certification is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading tasks.
- Familiarity with route driving, load & unload procedures, and basic vehicle maintenance routines.
- Warehouse experience that includes moving freight or inventory management adds valuable insight to the role.
- Comfortable driving manual transmission vehicles and navigating urban or rural delivery routes. Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
